Warrior Beat is a veteran owned and operated non-profit organization that promotes healing, increased wellbeing, fellowship and reintegration for military veterans through professionally facilitated group drumming.

Why Drumming?

Warrior Beat believes that drumming has the potential to have a positive impact on veterans struggling with PTSD and other mental and physical conditions caused by the rigors of military service. Drumming provides veterans with an immediate sense of camaraderie, entrains brainwave activity which can lead to an alleviation of the severe symptoms associated with PTSD and reconnects veterans with the joy of spontaneous self-expression. Drumming engages veterans physically and emotionally and requires no previous musical experience to experience the full benefits offered by group drumming.

Live-Streaming

Warrior Beat understands that there are many veterans who cannot or will not leave the safety of their home or facility. Warrior Beat has developed a live-streaming platform that allows home-bound veterans the opportunity to join in the drum circle via the Warrior Beat website. Veterans can interact, in real time, with the veterans participating in the drum circle.
Warrior Beat provides veterans who sign up for the on-line streaming program with a free Remo hand drum for at home participation.

The Warrior Beat Rhythm and Wellness Center is located in downtown Canton, Ohio and offers veterans a safe, fun and private location to participate in drum circles and other arts related programs offered at the Center. The Rhythm and Wellness Center features a variety of musical instruments for veterans to enjoy, including Remo hand drums and percussion, drum sets, keyboards and guitars. The Rhythm and Wellness Center has been acoustically treated to protect veterans from a variety of outside noises that can trigger PTSD episodes and makes for a more enjoyable music experience. The Center also features a veterans lounge for veterans looking for a safe space to relax and unwind while enjoying the fellowship of other veterans.

Warrior Beat is supported by, and proudly uses equipment from REMO, Zildjian, and Zoom.[/vc_column_text][mk_padding_divider][vc_custom_heading text=”INDIVIDUAL BIOS.” font_container=”tag:h1|text_align:left|color:%2399cc00″ google_fonts=”font_family:Forum%3Aregular|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1533142258263{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]
